1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and WatchSpies (“we”, “us”, “our”) governing your use of the WatchSpies website at watchspies.com (the “Service”). By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them.
2. Description of Service
WatchSpies is a watch listing aggregator that collects and displays watch listings from publicly available sources including Reddit, WatchUSeek, and online forums and shops. WatchSpies may also provide:
- Price history data and market intelligence for watch references
- Saved search alerts with email notifications
- Seller following and portfolio tracking features
- Watch industry news summaries derived from public RSS feeds
- Buying guides and editorial content
WatchSpies is an information service only. We are not a marketplace, broker, or party to any transaction between buyers and sellers. All transactions occur directly between users on the original listing platforms.
3. User Accounts
3.1 Registration
To access certain features you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated.
3.2 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at info@watchspies.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
3.3 Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time via Dashboard → Account → Delete Account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or use the Service in a manner that harms other users or our business.
4. Acceptable Use
4.1 Permitted Uses
- Searching for watch listings for personal purchase consideration
- Saving search alerts and following sellers for personal use
- Tracking your personal watch collection
- Accessing price history data for research purposes
4.2 Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from WatchSpies using automated tools
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of WatchSpies
- Use the Service for any commercial data harvesting, resale, or redistribution purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
- Use the Service to transmit spam, malware, or other harmful content
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law
- Circumvent any rate limiting, access controls, or security measures
5. Content and Intellectual Property
5.1 WatchSpies Content
The WatchSpies website design, software, original editorial content (buying guides, articles), price index methodology, and compiled database structure are owned by WatchSpies and protected by copyright, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
5.2 Third-Party Listing Content
Watch listing data displayed on WatchSpies is sourced from publicly available third-party platforms (Reddit, WatchUSeek, and others). This content is owned by the original posters and platforms. WatchSpies displays this content under fair use principles for the purpose of aggregation, indexing, and price research. We respect intellectual property rights — if you are a platform or seller and believe your content should not appear on WatchSpies, contact us at info@watchspies.com and we will remove it promptly.
5.3 News Content
Watch industry news content displayed on WatchSpies consists of original summaries derived from publicly available RSS feeds. Each summary credits the source publication and links to the original article. This constitutes transformative use for the purpose of news aggregation. Syndication partners who wish to opt out should contact info@watchspies.com.
5.4 User Content
By using features such as collection tracking, you grant WatchSpies a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store and display that content solely to provide the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of your personal collection data.
6. Affiliate Relationships and Pricing Accuracy
6.1 Affiliate Disclosures
WatchSpies may in the future participate in affiliate marketing programs including eBay Partner Network, Amazon Associates, CJ Affiliate, and others. Outbound links to retailers may be affiliate links. We earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not influence which listings we display or how we rank them.
6.2 Pricing Disclaimer
Prices displayed on WatchSpies are sourced from third-party platforms and may be inaccurate, out of date, or no longer available. WatchSpies makes no warranty that any price displayed reflects the current market value or availability of any watch. Do not rely solely on WatchSpies price data for financial, insurance, or estate valuation purposes.
6.3 No Endorsement
The display of a listing on WatchSpies does not constitute an endorsement of the seller, the item's authenticity, or the accuracy of the listing description. WatchSpies has no ability to verify the authenticity of watches listed on third-party platforms. Always conduct your own due diligence before purchasing.
7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
7.1 No Warranty
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
7.2 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WATCHSPIES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
7.3 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless WatchSpies and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service in a manner that harms a third party.
8. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which WatchSpies is operated, without regard to conflict of law principles.
For any dispute arising from these Terms, you agree to first contact us at info@watchspies.com to attempt informal resolution. If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, with arbitration conducted in English on a documents-only basis where possible.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Miscellaneous
Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and WatchSpies regarding the Service.
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it in the future.
Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign ours in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
