At a time when white and silver dials are the norm in the watch industry, LeCoultre & Cie is one of the few Maisons to offer coloured dials, reinforcing the resolutely modern character of the Reverso. The Spécialités Horlogères catalog of the time describes the black dial, with its exceptional legibility, as the dial of the future. This 1931 Reverso Dame features a polished steel case framing a black dial distinguished by Art Deco corners and trapezoidal indexes. Equipped with the manual-winding calibre Tavannes 051, the watch is fitted on a black calfskin leather strap.
